Staircase veneer of granite, marble or travertine is impressive and timeless. The material chosen can also be used for paving of the stair landing and plinth. The horizontal part of a stair is called the ‘’tread’’ while the vertical part is ‘’riser’’. Floating stars in particular appear to levitate above ground and are a very elegant choice.
